Google Account Access

What our Google integration accesses on your behalf, why, and how that data is used.

Doman Digital is a UK web design, development and digital marketing agency. Some of our services involve managing a client's Google Business Profile, Search Console, Analytics or Tag Manager account on their behalf. To do that, we use our own Google application, and each client individually grants it access to their own Google account through Google's standard consent screen. We never ask for or handle your Google password directly.

1. What access we request, and why

  • Google Business Profile: to publish posts, respond to reviews and questions, and keep your business information (hours, contact details, categories) accurate, as part of our local SEO or managed plan service.
  • Search Console: to monitor your site's indexing status and search performance, and diagnose issues affecting your rankings.
  • Analytics: to report on traffic, conversions and campaign performance for the work we deliver.
  • Tag Manager: to maintain and update the tracking configuration on sites we build or manage.

We only request the scopes needed for the services you've engaged us for. You can see the exact permissions requested on Google's consent screen before you grant access.

2. Who grants access

Access is granted individually by each client, using their own Google account, for the duration of our engagement with them. Granting access to one client's account never gives us or anyone else access to another client's data.

3. How we use and store the data

Data retrieved through this access is used only to deliver the service you've engaged us for: reporting, posting, or managing the relevant Google product on your behalf. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for any other client's benefit. Our general approach to data handling is set out in our Privacy Notice.

4. Revoking access

You can remove Doman Digital's access at any time from your Google Account's third-party access settings. If you'd like us to stop using data we've already retrieved, contact us at Data@domandigital.co.uk.
